Is This You?
Is This You?
You’d like to see more joy, peace and happiness in the world. But the gap between intention and action feels huge. Even so, you’d like to make The First Move.
You like to help people see things differently. You know that every story has at least 2 sides, and that the key to peace in this world is a willingness to step outside your own view and understand another’s. Yet you often find yourself lost in your own thoughts.
You understand that thoughts create emotions, which in turn create visible results. You begin your day with the intention to be positive and work with whatever arises from a place of peace. But the traffic driving to work was awful, you arrived late, and when you finally got home, you realized the better part of your day was filled with frustration and anger. Arrgh!
You’re a seed planter. When it comes to making the world a better place for everybody, you feel compelled to share every new idea that crosses your path. Problem is, you see them as helpful, while others see them as an annoyance. And you sometimes see the curtain falling in their eyes as you begin to speak.
You understand the importance of giving back. You may volunteer your time, and when you can’t do that, you want your purchases to make a difference, connecting you to the world at large. The last time you went looking for a special gift, you had trouble finding something that reflected what is in your heart and helped others at the same time.
You want more peace in the world. You and your friends may get together for “visualize world peace parties”. Material gain is not important to you, but world peace and taking care of the earth are. But you worry sometimes that people feel you are hitting them over the head when you bring up the topic. Where is a gentle reminder when you need it?
You know that the smallest things may change someone’s life or day without your even knowing it. A simple thank you, a smile at a shared experience. But so often you’re caught up in your to do list and the to do lists of others. By the end of the day, you realized even a simple “thank you” to the cashier in the grocery store eluded you. You’d love to find something that works on your behalf when you forget to.
